Wing Shop aerofoil facts page

Wing Shop aerofoils are available in a variety of configurations to suit many applications. Spans up to 2000mm width (not including end plates or end plate extensions) can be catered for in some instances. Construction is in carbon fibre pre-preg with a sub-structure of spars (stringers if you prefer) and ribs, offering an unrivalled blend of stiffness and strength, low weight, high damage tolerance and superb appearance and finish.

Front wings are available as either single piece, mounted on drop plates, or two piece, to butt either side of a narrow nosecone on a tube-mount.

Rear wings can be supplied with drop plates to fix onto gearbox- or chassis-mounted plates or tubes, or with end-plate mounting.

		CFD analysis of our wings has been corrrelated with wind tunnel testing to give good confidence in our aerodynamic data. This is a static pressure plot on one of our dual element wing designs.
